Senior System Support Administrator

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Senior System SupportAdministrator to work with a large enterprise in Columbia, SC.

This is a night shift position with 10-hour shifts, working 3-4 days/ week. Shift hours will either start at 7:00pm or 11:00pm EST and some days can be worked remotely. 

What you'll do:

• Provide system/production support and monitoring for applications, batch cycles, releases, projects, installations, etc.
• Participate in work sessions for system support and problem resolution.
• May provide coordination in workload transition tasks.
• Perform/Support installation, configuration, administration, implementation, scheduling and/or tuning/modification of applications.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Comprehends data storage techniques, database philosophy, database management,d programming techniques
• Experience with COBOL
• Strong understanding of the requirements for maintaining production systems and the effect of program changes.
• Understands how to use structured techniques in new program development.
• Strong understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies.
• Enterprise server (mainframe), strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and/or development/productivity tools.
