We are looking for a Senior System Management Engineer to support our government customer. We are seeking a Site Lead with a strong technology background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The LLC Site Lead functions as a project manager for an Information Technology (IT) team in the planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support of web-based e-learning solutions that incorporate Army level solutions (such as Enterprise Authentication Management System - Army [EAMS-A] authentication; The Army's Distributed Learning Program [TADLP]; and Army Training Information System [ATIS]) into a Lifelong Learning solution based on the best technologies available

  • Lead day-to-day operations of multi-million dollar task order to provide support and maintenance for Blackboard used by over 40 US Army Schools.

  • Direct expert level technical services and support for the Army Training Support Command Lifelong Learning Center (ATSC LLC) Program

  • Manage teams of System Engineers, Programmers, Blackboard Subject Matter Experts and Help Desk Analysts

  • Lead consolidation of LLC Blackboard services from separate installations to an enterprise datacenter, while minimizing downtime and ensuring all stakeholder requirements are met

  • Lead projects involving integrations between various US Army information systems

  • Create and manage the distribution of Standard Operation Procedures and User Policies

  • Ensure that all security regulations are adhered to and communicated to cross functional teams

  • Recommend, plan and manage Blackboard customizations to meet proponent requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information System Management from an accredited college or university

  • 10+ years of experience with Information System Engineering or Management

  • Experience with web-based learning solutions

  • Experience with Army Enterprise Systems preferred

  • Military experience is preferred

  • Security+

  • Secret Clearance

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information System Management from an accredited college or university

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Active DoD Secret clearance

The Kronos Administrator is responsible for the installation upgrade and maintenance of database systems at the Senior level. This includes database administration duties such as continuous monitoring and performance tuning for system efficiencies; ensuring system availability usability and survivability; managing systems and developing procedures for database security backup schedules restoration and development; controlling system capacity or sizing for supported applications and plans for future needs; troubleshooting system issues with Server Team and vendors; supporting Server Teams in their upgrade tasks; and supporting auditor requests. The Kronos System Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade maintenance, and overall monitoring of ERP systems at the Senior level. The Administrator will maintain and configure application and web servers; process scheduler database connectivity and various application tools components; manage and secure integration with external (cloud) ERP components to extend the capabilities of the core ERP; migrate ERP projects programs and files from development to production environments; support team members and ensure that established deadlines and client needs are met, and keep management well informed of area activities. At this level, the individual is recognized as an expert in their own area and can solve complex problems independently. The individual can work independently on all but the most complex issues and is a resource for lower-level team members. Duties Include: * Understands all aspects of supporting complex databases providing overall maintenance. * Continuous monitoring and auditing for system efficiencies and response-time improvements and quality control. * Set direction and lead projects to ensure optimal application and system performance. * Often communicates technical solutions to teammates and management and provides assistance to teammates in an effort to enhance the overall services provided by the group. * Maintains access methods access time security and security documentation ensures data and system integrity defines validation checks loading and unloading data backup and recovery procedures. * Performs ERP administration tasks Participates as a team member on projects or may lead initiatives where appropriate. * Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced database analysts/administrators. * In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
