Overview

MHM Services, Inc. is a privately owned company that contracts with state and local governments to provide staffing, management, and healthcare services to correctional facilities, state psychiatric hospitals, and other community settings.

MHM has a opportunity for a Senior System Administrator to work out of our corporate office in the Tysons area of Vienna, VA, 1 block from the Spring Hill Metro stop on the Silver Line. This individual will provide support and maintenance to the corporate server and network environment. Manage servers, security systems/logs, applications , LAN/WAN, system access and communication systems. We are looking for someone with experience in system administration, engineering and Architecture design.

This individual will:

  • Administrer and configure role services in Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016

  • Exchange 2016 administration in a geo diverse DAG configuration

  • Enterprise Storage Management, Nimbel Storage experience a plus

  • Application and GSLB load balancing methodology (Barracuda Networks preferred)

  • Maintain and report on SIEM, FortiManager, and vRealize Operations Manager

  • Strong knowledge of virtualization and presentation server systems to include VMWare v.6.5+, vSphere, vMotion and VRops. Cisco UCS 5108 environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell and experience automating tasks using PowerShell scripting, PowerCLI

  • Knowledge and experience in architecting failover/replication strategy to support high-availability requirements and disaster recovery

  • Knowledge of Layer 2/3 Routing and Switching (Cisco Nexus 9K, Cisco Catalyst 2960XR)

  • Administration of FortiGate 60D, 200D, and 900D series firewalls, IPSEC tunnels, IPV4 policy, and UTM features.

  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools and protocols such as PRTG (SNMP V2/V3)

  • Configuring Cisco Meraki wireless with Microsoft radius server. Configure Cisco switches with TACACS+

  • Strong Active Directory and Group Policy administration

  • Secure Windows servers, workstations, and networks using established guidelines such as NIST, DISA, CIS, and USGCB through Group policy and hardened imaging

  • Knowledge of VDI such as Citrix XenApp solutions

  • Ensures timely response and monitoring of Freshservice or other incident management tools and queues by team

  • Participates in Daily Stand-up and other O&M meeting rhythms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Services, or related field

  • Four to six years of systems administration and network management experience

  • Solid knowledge of server and computer hardware and software installation, testing, and operation; knowledge of application of computer software for automating highly diverse agency/organization activities

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; acting as a vendor liaison, making presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management

  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes

  • A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server, the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts

This person is responsible for maintaining the operational status of VMware systems and will work closely with other members of the IT Operations department on the program. The duties of this position are to provide broad spectrum tasks associated with both VMware infrastructure components and Windows server in order to support complex enterprise solutions. The candidate will be required to work both independently and collaboratively to address incidents, problems, provide access management, and contribute to infrastructure enhancement projects. The candidate, in conjunction with team goals, will operate the VMware infrastructure to include taskings such as the configuration of VMware SRM, DRS, HA, Update Manager, vCenter, and other VMware technologies as appropriate. The VMwware Administrator will also be responsible for directly working with and maintaining the underlying Cisco UCS hardware and the Fiber Interconnect devices. Additional responsibilities include the administration of Windows-based platforms and services, including Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, and other standard services on a regular basis. As with any operational role, monitoring alerts, managing the ticket queue, and keeping documentation up to date are a regular part of daily responsibilities. Candidate is required to have strong analysis and decision-making skills with the ability to participate in briefings, participate in technical cross-functional meetings, strong commitment to process, and understanding of change and configuration management principles. Candidate must be willing to provide 24/7 coverage (on-call rotation) and participate in after-hours updates and patching on a rotational basis. Detailed Responsibilities: * Operation and maintenance of the enterprise VMware environment * Mangement and Oversight of VMware's underlying hardware components including updates and patching * Operation and maintenance of Windows server systems running Windows MS Server * Operation of Windows Active Directory infrastructures, DNS and user administration * Provide tier II support for the IT Service Desk * Participate in after-hours weekly shifts that respond to business emergency requests (on-call rotation) * Participate in after-hours monthly patching rotation * Installations of new software and system upgrades including evaluation and installation of patches * Actively monitor systems and resolve issues * Collaborate with the rest of the team to perform project tasks in support of large projects cdi disl Qualifications: Qualifications: Required Education/Experience: * Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional work experience is acceptable in lieu of a Degree.
