How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

This position is a key contributor to the identification, design and evaluation of sustainability initiatives and efforts related to population health and/or affordability of care. The work strives to maintain or improve the physical and psychosocial well-being of our members and address health inequities through proactive, cost effective and tailored interventions along the continuum of care, including the community setting. As such this position identifies issues, gathers, analyzes and interprets a wide variety of data and information to understand barriers and opportunities, and presents results and recommendations to management as well as potentially internal and external partners. This position supports the development of associated business cases, program development and implementation efforts, as applicable. This position may represent the department/division on corporate projects, coordinates customer (internal or external) needs, provides input to the team, and

may lead routine initiatives and run routine work groups. This position is autonomous yet, requires collaboration within a matrixed environment.

A Day in the Life:

  • This position helps identify, innovate, design and evaluate sustainability initiatives in the space of population health and/or affordability of care.

  • Identify unmet consumer and business needs and value-creation opportunities using service design methodologies to explore, identify, design, and iterate solutions.

  • Documents methods, procedures, results and recommendations

  • Assists in the creation of business cases, program development and associated implementation efforts.

  • Research, analyze, interpret and derive pertinent information from data and information and organize it in a methodical, logical and concise manner.

  • Translates data, concepts and analysis into actionable information and recommendations

  • Researches and refines existing assumptions and procedures to present recommendations for new initiatives / change.

  • Participates in design, development and maintenance of initiatives.

  • Researches and responds to internal and external inquiries.

  • Will support and may lead routine initiatives and run routine work groups.

  • Navigates through various systems and departments to obtain accurate information to be utilized in analysis and projects, build consensus, identify issues, evaluate and support the development of business cases.

  • Is familiar with, and stays abreast of, industry related changes and advancements.

  • May be involved with evaluating vendor strategies to evaluate viability.

Nice to Have:

  • Registered Nurse licensure with no restrictions.

  • Experience working with a product led/agile environment.

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree.

  • Public health, clinical (behavioral/social sciences) or related experience.

  • Population health and/or affordability of care experience specifically.

  • Community Integration experience.

  • System thinking, system change experience.

  • Financial acumen.

  • Vendor experience (evaluation and/or management).

  • Health and racial equity experience.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • Demonstrated execution skills

  • Demonstrated program ideation development and/or design experience.

  • Human-centered design experience

  • Strong empathy, curiosity, and cultural competency

  • Cross-functional team experience.

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities, deadlines, and adapt to change.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to act independently and think creatively to come up with initiative solutions.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • MS office applications experience.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Strong problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to organize routine initiatives to maximize results.

  • Work with minimal management direction.

Role Designation:

Hybrid Remote

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
