Senior Support Specialist

As a Senior Support Specialist you will coordinate production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer generated data. In this critical role, you will summarize issues and communicate system capabilities or limitations.
Primary Responsibilities:
. Design and implement appropriate monitoring solutions for applications we support, with the goal of enabling more efficient production support.
. Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
Exhibit and enhance technical subject matter expertise in workflow and Batch scheduling automation platforms
Work with lines of business to gather requirements for the creation, deployment, validation and maintenance of automated workflows and schedules.
You will perform research and problem diagnostics to find resolutions to reported problems and challenges clients face.
Develop and maintain scripts to support various Batch workflow and scheduling automation functions
Provide L1/L2 and on-call support for workflow and scheduling automation platforms and environments
Responsible for access management of workflow and scheduling automation platforms
Maintain automation platforms in AWS to ensure optimal configuration from both technical and budgetary perspectives
Ensure documentation (design/configuration) is regularly maintained
Understand and follow IT processes including Change & Configuration, Problem, Incident and Service Readiness and other established team procedures
Routinely perform audits to ensure compliance of standards and regulations
Perform resiliency testing of production and disaster recovery environments
Create and manage metrics for reporting and analytic purposes
Provide support to application teams - training, information requests, project engagements
Regularly identify and implement improvement opportunities
Fulfill corporate compliance tasks including mandatory training
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of experience in Linux or Windows operating systems
At least 2 years technical application support experience
At least 2 years of experience with ITIL problem management
At least 2 years of experience with incident management processes
At least 2 years of experience with monitoring tools (PagerDuty, ServiceNow)
At least 2 years of experience in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience with server automation and scripting
3+ years of experience with Splunk or New Relic
