JUUL Labs is searching for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality Supply Chain team. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer develops, establishes and maintains quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices which meet FDA, customer, and regulatory requirements. Serves as a Quality representative at our Columbia site to improve awareness, visibility, communication on quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, site, divisional and corporate quality goals and priorities. Provides focused quality engineering support within new product development, operational, or system/services support.

  • Provide leadership role on championing departmental or cross-functional engineering initiatives

  • Provide project direction, coaching, and mentoring for engineering and technical team personnel

  • Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class Quality Engineering practices

  • Mentor for technical guidance for identifying and resolving quality issues

  • Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements

  • Lead in the implementation of assurances, process controls, and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements

  • Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices

  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues

  • Assure the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues

  • Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures

  • Assure that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the JUUL Quality Policy

  • Establish and promote a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System


  • 5+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Quality, Process Operations, Product Engineering, Reliability and/or Qualification

  • Ability to work with a multi-functional team to define requirements and suitable metrics for the performance of new products and process

  • Experienced professional with a complete understanding and wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field

  • Problem solving knowledge and experience

  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment

  • Experience working in high volume manufacturing is preferred.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the systematic management of supplier quality through the implementation of the Supplier Quality Program/Process. The Supplier Quality Engineer provides strong, demonstrated leadership to quickly manage supplier related issues and drive continual improvements in global supplier performance. * Leads, or participates in, global cross functional supplier validation audits in the assessment of new or existing suppliers Quality Management Systems. * Assist in the Global Supply Chain approval process by assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities. * Conduct onsite supplier visits for root causation analysis and verification of corrective actions taken by suppliers to address known quality issues. * Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers on process improvements. * Consolidate and evaluate supplier performance date to identify Global Supplier performance. * Support and lead process improvement initiatives at suppliers. * Participate in cross functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products. * Collaborates with quality control personnel, in plants worldwide, to address defective supplier material or parts and ensures the proper corrective and preventive actions are put in place. * Generates comprehensive quality assessment reports for critical global suppliers. * Drive the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues to successfully overcome. * Collaborates with cross functional teams in the implementation of improvements in support of Manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives worldwide. * Responsible for the proper use of the appropriate quality tools and methods, such as DOE, RCCA, 8D, MSA, FAI, sampling plans, process capability analysis, FTA and SPC to help resolve supplier quality issues in an efficient and effective manner. Requirements: II. Basic Qualifications A. Education * Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified from start) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (DTEM) or related discipline from an accredited institution. B. Experience * A minimum of 3+ years Supplier Quality Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (automotive, heavy equipment or heavy custom "make to order" industries). * A minimum of 1 year of Global supplier experience. C. Other Requirements * Must have strong knowledge of ISO 9001 * Must have strong data analytics and reporting skills * Must have strong mechanical knowledge * Ability to travel globally D.
