About the Role:

The Sr. Supplier Engineer serves as a technical lead for all subject areas relevant to supplier and purchased material qualification, onboarding, and integration of purchased components for the Access Solutions (Baylis Medical) Integration Program. The incumbent will lead projects to support acquisition activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute material controls deliverables according to business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Commercial Sourcing and Supplier Quality to support Global Sourcing objectives and ensure repeatable component quality and reliability

  • Partnering with suppliers and personnel of acquired entity to understand component requirements for development and compliance

  • Developing and executing project plans; assign tasks, track project schedules and identify risks; develop and implement contingency plans to ensure deliverables and milestones are met

  • Communicating project progress with stakeholders and project core teams to manage risks that impact project success; identify solutions to problems such as resource allocation or changes in project requirements and escalate technical issues as necessary

  • Conducting risk assessments on sourced materials and builds installed capacity and capability at suppliers

  • Ensuring compliance to the quality policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures to support the commitment to patient safety and product quality

  • Executing Material Controls deliverables according to program needs, such as purchased material qualification, supplier-driven change assessments, supplier capacity or capability improvement projects, or regulated materials compliance assessments

  • Plans and executes service risk mitigation measures to ensure continuity of component supply to BSC and acquired entity manufacturing

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline

  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting complex mechanical systems or devices

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with suppliers or in supply chain management

  • Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry

  • Effective communication and project management skills

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; results-driven

  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologies

  • Familiarity with GD&T and other design drawing standards and relevant inspection methods

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Boston Scientific products and quality system processes
