Senior Supervisor Transportation - Logistics (Corporate 412 West)

SUMMARY:

• The Global Freight Audit Supervisor is responsible for timely and accurate payment for all Global Transportation providers (refrigerated trucking, hopper, tanker, refrigerated box car, ocean container, intermodal, LTL, air, etc.)

• Ensures cross - functional collaboration and alignment on strategic plans necessary to provide Tyson competitive advantage.

• Develop and improve working relationships with internal and external business partners. Plants/Shipping locations, drayage providers, cross-dock and cold storage, procurement, finance, operations, IT, maintenance, etc.)

• Ensures Tyson Global Freight Audit is executed with consistency and accuracy across all modes of transportation.

• Promotes and supports technological and automation initiatives designed to improve product movement through the Global network.

• Support continuous improvement and change management.

• Lead and develop team to support Tyson Global transportation and total company initiatives.

• Ensures cross functional collaboration and alignment on strategic plans necessary to provide Tyson competitive advantage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver the financial plan. Position is responsible that all team leaders have clearly defined responsibilities and understand their specific roles to achieve service and financial goals.

• Ensure risk management and contingency planning related to trends and threats impacting Global transportation and Global BUs

• Models the Tyson values and culture. Builds strong relationships and trust with internal and external team members and business partners. Creates discipline and focus around developing talent, building talent pipeline, and fostering environment that empowers team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BS degree in Logistics, Business, Accounting and/or 3 plus yrs. of Logistics, Distribution, Accounting/Freight Audit, and Transportation experience

• Experience: 3 plus years of experience with transportation operations.

• Computer Skills: Strong experience in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel a must, SharePoint Online, Microsoft TEAMS, DB2 Structured Query Language (SQL), building visualization tools with Power BI or Tableau preferred accomplished through interactive and user-friendly creation of dashboards and reporting, and various supply chain operating systems. Tyson Business Computer Systems to include Sale Inventory SAP Transportation and Warehousing Systems.

• Communication Skills: Strong Verbal and written communication skills required. Position communicates with multiple levels of management, carriers and vendors.

• Special Skills: Individual must be highly detail orientated. Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills along with the ability to work well on their own and with others in a team setting fostering a positive goal-oriented environment. Development and administration of BI tools, Power applications a plus

• Supervisory: Ability to lead and develop 5+ team members. This position acts as a team leader providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit such as assigning work and training team members.

• Travel: Minimal travel required. Approximately 1-5 domestic trips annually.
