What You Will Be Doing

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.

  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

  • Communicate with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals.

  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.

  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.

  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.

  • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.

  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

We focus on the perks that aren’t trendy, but really add value – standup desks, lunch-and-learns, company retreats, and donation-matching.<br />  </p> <p><strong>Senior Superintendent Duties and Responsibilities</strong><br />  </p> <p><strong>Project Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.</li> <li>Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.</li> <li>Create and maintain construction schedule.</li> <li>Identify and take steps to avoid potential problems and solve existing problems.</li> <li>Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.</li> <li>Manage self-performed duties with laborers.</li> <li>Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employers.</li> <li>Prepare schedules and supervise the completion of a final punch list.</li> <li>Any other task or duty assigned or required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Safety</strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.</li> <li>Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.</li> <li>Create site logistic plans and maintain an organized, clean job site, including the construction office.</li> <li>Act as a credible and effective safety leader on the job site.</li> <li>Promote safety compliant reporting and participation to all individuals on site.</li> <li>Make safety a priority to crew and individuals by providing both positive feedback and implementing timely corrective action as appropriate.</li> <li>Complete all safety training required.
