Hiring Department Dermatology Job Description Coordinate resident & fellow recruitment, onboarding, & orientation working with others in the department and clinic to ensure they are ready to start in both locations. Ensure residents are licensed appropriately and maintain licensure throughout their program.

Coordinate outside rotators, medical students and any others shadowing requests ensuring appropriate vetting and instruction on schedule and expectations Create resident rotation schedule with assistance of chief resident and program director Coordinate resident graduation and new resident welcome events annually. Compile institution or accrediting body data (WebADs, GMETrack, Annual Reports, etc.) with data-entry and submission after review and approval from appropriate program director. Coordinate resident conferences for the department; Maintain accurate conference calendars; Distribute, collect, and record attendance for all conference series; Order meals for resident related events as needed; Submit CME documents weekly to CME office; Send lecture reminders weekly; Arrange travel and associated reimbursement to external resident conferences.

Coordinate Grand Rounds & the annual Gunn lecture; including solicitation of topics to ensure event scheduled will occur, applying for grants (if applicable) and making, all travel arrangements for speakers (as applicable). Provide appropriate notice (8 weeks) to providers (internal and external), residents and service coordinators so clinic schedules can be adjusted if needed. Prepare any necessary materials, details on location, topic and speaker, etc. and post in Insight and for SOM information boards. Send reminders at the start of each month, 2 weeks and date of event to ensure all know particulars.

Apply for annually and coordinate CME information for conferences including those not coordinated but requiring CME credit resident lectures, etc.). Send quarterly reports to faculty and appropriate support staff on CME credits received to-date and request any external CME received are sent for submission so it will show on future reports. .Enter academic activity into Mission Based Management (monthly). Create monthly call schedule and submit electronically post approval of chief and program director ensuring accuracy of attending and resident assigned. Create and Monitor evaluations in New Innovations; Prepare/facilitate patient evaluations of residents and fellows; Prepare/facilitate evaluation of faculty conferences; Submit monthly duty hours report. Coordinate PCE and CCC meetings including notification to all faculty/residents involved as applicable; compile necessary information to ensure the meetings are efficient and effective.

Manage resident advancement and termination annually. Maintain resident vacation calendar. Assist assigned faculty through detailed calendar management, tracking of important tasks needing completion/deadlines and assisting in completion of those tasks as able, creation of PowerPoint and/or handouts related to presentations as needed & general correspondence.

Submitting absence requests on behalf of assigned faculty alerting both department and clinic personnel, making travel arrangements and working with faculty to create their travel itinerary, preparing faculty for what is required post-travel for reimbursement purposes and submitting supporting documents received post-travel for reimbursement. Ensuring any CME received related to external scholarly activities are received and documentation is provided to the appropriate individual for tracking purposes. Coordinate Alumni activities and alumni newsletter.

Shift Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional need outside business hours Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
