SCOPE
A Project Engineering manager would work with other with other engineers on larger projects and/or a 3D CAD Tech on smaller jobs. A typical project could include modifying an existing structure, or designing a completely new facility, the Project Engineer Manager would need to formulate plans and convey the details to a 3D CAD Tech for drafting.
Each project is unique and would allow the Project Engineer Manager to collaborate with owners, contractors, manufacturers, and other engineering disciplines.
Typical Duties
Day to day duties may include the following:
Mentor and lead other Team members.
Assist in the preparation of project models and documentation (3D models and drawings), in the
form of verbal and written instructions and sketches for 3D CAD Techs.
Confidently provide accurate and competent drawings, files, engineering records, prints, and tasks of assigned projects.
Prepare project specific notes, preliminary, final plans (from field notes), implement design data and create
Ideally would be proficient in engineering and drafting software programs such as Mathcad, RISA3D, CFS, SDS/2, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD.
Coordinate drafting work while working with others on same or multiple projects.
Review and maintain company drafting standards in accordance with industry drafting and
engineering standards.

Supervision
Supervise and direct project teams on current workloads and deadlines.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) majoring in Agricultural (structural emphasis), Architectural (structural
emphasis), Civil (structural emphasis), or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
An ideal candidate would have experience using Autodesk products such as AutoCAD or Revit, Microsoft office products, MathCAD, and field inspection experience. Background in construction or similar field is a plus.
Experience in 3D CAD modeling. Ability to read structural construction drawings.
Equipment
Ability to use the latest cutting-edge software, host and participate in video conference calls utilizing screen sharing, measuring equipment (tape measure, level, angles, laser level), dedicated home office required
(for remote employees only).

Working Conditions
Work as a group in an open office setting with advanced equipment on fast paced projects, must be able to work between multiple projects. If remote, we utilize Microsoft Teams for office meetings and communication along with a remote phone system among clients and teammates to easily communicate seamlessly on projects.
Travel
Limited, but some travel required for field inspections, site visits, continuing education, etc.
Personality
Must be self-motivating; have ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be a positive influence and keep a positive attitude toward projects. The following characteristics are required for this position: organized, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. The willingness and the ability to meet deadlines is a must.
