Senior Structural Designer
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $33 - $50/hr +

Konik is partnering with a local engineering consultant who is seeking to add a senior structural designer to their team.

Senior Structural Designer Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and CAD standards.
• Act as the primary technical contact for projects, coordinating directly with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors.
• Oversee and review project documentation across multiple disciplines to resolve conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
• Develop and communicate preliminary design concepts, refine layouts, and coordinate specifications with project drawings.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to designers and technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
  

Senior Structural Designer Qualifications:

• Associates or Certificate in architectural or structural design or similar with at least 8 years of experience.
• Strong expertise in structural design, CAD software, and drafting standards for complex projects.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, manage client relationships, and oversee coordination efforts across disciplines.
• Experience in preparing proposals, estimating drafting fees, and managing project schedules.
• Willingness to travel for site visits to provide field support and ensure project success.
