The Strategy Analyst partners with firm leaders to integrate analytics into business decisions, support the increased use of data-driven decision making, and execute best in class analytics within their areas of focus.
Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive impactful results
Conceptualize analytical opportunities and assist leaders to understand the trade-offs of various approaches
Manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders
Drive analytical efforts that lead to strong business impact and help to ensure the results of these efforts are presented as actionable insights
Lead without direct authority and only limited guidance from his/her leader
Collaborate effectively with associates and leaders in Firm Analytics, and partner with key stakeholders across the firm to ensure analytics projects are successfully implemented by business areas
Bachelor's degree is required with emphasis in areas such as accounting, finance, economics, statistics, engineering, mathematics, data science, or analytics (or relevant work experience)
Masters or MBA preferred
7+ years of relevant work experience preferred
Strong skills in synthesizing and packaging analytical insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially to non-technical audiences
Ability to be effective and influential across a complex, matrix-style organization
Experience managing a variety of analytical projects, either as a consultant or within an organization
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, use analytic skills to address diverse business problems
Experience in strategy consulting, market research, internal consulting, or data/analytics; implementing analytical solutions into productionalized databases and systems (including data quality, data governance, and automation) is a plus
Prior background in a highly collaborative, multi-functional analytics environment is a plus
Working knowledge of business statistics and analytical methods, e.g. decision trees, regression modeling, machine learning, etc., in addition to statistical and analytical platforms, e.g. R, Python, SPSS Modeler, SAS, etc. is a plus
Experience and knowledge of Big Data environments is a plus
