Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

This analyst secures and analyzes quotations and negotiates prices and terms with U.S. and international suppliers, subject to management approval, for the purchase of fixed assets, parts, tooling, materials and/or services.

• Develop and implement commodity strategies to establish long-term sourcing.

• Expedite the procurement of parts or materials in short or critical supply.

• Perform market analyses and competitive evaluations.

• Coordinate quality matters, engineering and price changes between company components and suppliers.

• Negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering change orders.

• Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies.

• Provide direction and training to inventory buyers and planners as needed.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Requires at least 5 years related experience with preferred experience in Controls, Sensors, Electrical, and Indoor Air Quality.

• Requires broad expertise including strategic sourcing and purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban and supplier development.

• Requires excellent negotiation abilities and strong analytical skills.

• Shows exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Requires knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.

• Must have knowledge of economic principles and financial markets.

• Competent in computerized procurement systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and may require MS Access experience.

• International travel may be required

The compensation range for this position is approximately $79,000 - $104,000 and will be based on the candidate's qualification, experience, and education
