Department Overview

The Strategy Department is responsible for the on-going management, refreshment, and implementation of PG&E's 10-year True North Strategy (TNS).

Position Summary

The Senior Strategy Analyst is a position within the True North Strategy Team and will primarily focus on strategic data management and visualization. The position will play a key role in the management and implementation of the company's strategy through engagement with key stakeholders across the enterprise, including TNS leads, the Enterprise Change Office, Signposting SMEs, senior leaders, and our general coworker population. The role will also support strategic business plan development, management, and coordination.

The role facilitates the successful execution of the 10-year Strategy through visibility, interdependence, and communication across all strategic Business Plans, management of the Strategy operating rhythm, and early issue escalation and resolution. This person will work closely with members of the TNS team and the strategic Business Plan Leads across the enterprise to create visibility and alignment to meet annual milestones.

The Senior Strategy Analyst will strengthen the infrastructure to support company performance across all strategic focus areas.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred location is Oakland, CA. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $102,000

Bay Area Maximum: $152,000

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive TNS database to organize and analyze strategic data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility

• Utilize data visualization tools to create insightful and impactful presentations that effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders

• Lead the development and maintenance of TNS standards for various workstreams and deliverables

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, assess trends and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision making

• Provide regular updates and reports on TNS database metrics, workstream standards and business plan progress to relevant stakeholders, including support of TNS command centers

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Policy, Business, Finance, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience

• Minimum 4 years of job-related experience

• Experience in project management, coordinating tasks and timelines to achieve strategic goals

• Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

• High degree of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills and relationship building

• Ability to navigate complex organizations and stakeholder engagement experience; stakeholder mapping a plus

• Highly organized and adaptable to evolving priorities, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities at once

• Demonstrated knowledge of PG&E business, technology, policy and industry trends

• Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), database management, and data analysis techniques

• Strong proficiency in presentation development using PowerPoint, with an emphasis on clarity and visual appeal

• Excellent communication skills to convey findings and recommendations to diverse audiences

• Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Detail oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality
