Responsibilities
Principal Duties:
1.Statistical Analysis / Data Science (95%):
  • Builds new predictive/descriptive models, evaluate current effectiveness of old models, design experiments/campaigns and analyze the resulting data, perform post-hoc (correlational) analysis when experimental designs (causational analyses) are not feasible and explains the limitations of the results, advises analytical data programmers on quality and infrastructure needs/challenges, etc.
  • Modify and run code others wrote only when less experienced Analysts are unavailable.
  • Write code that will be run repetitively.
  • Write medium size blocks of code that is needed for the scope of work being done.
  • Translating analytical results, presenting to manager level and below, and making recommendations for improvements in the areas of application
  • Create and present technical results to business managers.
  • Creates technical documentation of basic analyses.
  • Identifies and works with other more experienced analysts on data preparation issues (such as missing values and invalid data)
  • Creates basic transformations of data independently and intermediate transformations with involvement from more experienced analysts
  • Applies basic techniques for handling small sample sizes with involvement from more experienced analysts
  • Applies basic techniques for handling interactions with limited involvement from more experienced analysts
  • Perform medium scale statistical analysis or medium scale modeling projects independently or in collaboration with other Analysts.
  • Apply skills learned in previous roles to the business using SAS and further advance business skills.
  • Depending on prior roles, may require formal training in some topical areas.
  • Partner with more experienced Analysts on large scale modeling projects.
2.Technical Supervision / Training / Development (5%)
  • Technically supervising, mentoring, coaching, and training all less senior analysts on advanced statistical techniques and how to apply them to business problems
Qualifications
Education & Experience

Requirements:
  • MS degree in Analytics, Statistics, or Mathematics fields and 3-6 years of Analytics experience or PhD degree and 2-4 years of Analytics experience
  • 2+ years of SAS programming experience in previous roles (SAS not substitutable with any other programming language).
  • Expertise acquired through prior experience in applying statistical/mathematical techniques and Credit Risk management
  • Experimental Design
  • Linear/Logistic Regression
  • Time Series Analysis
  • Forecasting
  • Decision Trees
  • Must be a proficient storyteller able to explain complicated statistical analyses, techniques, and results to non-statistical audiences of Director-level Executives and below.
  • Capable of working and communicating directly with Manager-level and below to scope the technical needs of medium scale, medium-value projects and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Capable of assisting in technically supervising junior level Statistical Analysts / Data Scientists

Be part of a winning team that leads the way in Enterprise Information Management. #LI-POST The opportunity: The Network Operations Center Jr. Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining 7x24x365 uptime and availability for all IT Corporate and Production Cloud Services. The position reports directly to the Network Operations Center Shift Manager. The Jr. Support Analyst is responsible for the health of all systems/environments and ensures all systems are being monitored/administered as required. They will learn the responsibilities of being an Operations Point Of Contact (POC) for all Critical Event Management. They will be responsible for Ticket Management across multiple services/environments, requiring updating and resolution of service requests and Incidents while meeting response & resolution OLA/SLA's. The roll requires oversight of Vendor Maintenance activities to ensure they are actively managed and completed as required. Additionally, they will provide guidance, support and backup responsibilities for Network Operations Center Monitoring Specialist resources (BCP). The Jr. Support Analyst provides direct support escalation for initial triage and troubleshooting to the Monitoring Specialist. They work closely with various support teams, including but not limited to; Engineering, various client facing teams, Product Development etc., providing resolution/work-arounds for all systems and services globally while ensuring OLA's/SLA's are adhered to. They must prioritize events and escalate as required while ensuring post event follow-up. They actively participate in all incidents, Major Incidents and some decision-making activities, as such; they must have good judgment and the ability to make sound business decisions while adhering to established policies & procedures. This will also require them to work closely with the Documentation Specialist - submitting updates for Operational procedures and policies as needed. You are great at: The Network Operations Center Jr. Support Analyst skill set requires in depth knowledge of all services, hardware, support and remediation tools and proper trouble-shooting techniques and procedures. The Jr. Support Analyst is chartered with meeting or exceeding agreed to system availability numbers and driving low Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) times, while identifying and driving continuous process improvement, providing critical insight for design/process improvement and moving the organization from reactive, to proactive Incident avoidance. This will be done through active participation in post-event follow-up discussions and contributions to Problem Management, identifying gaps, known errors and assisting in root cause analysis. They must be capable of consulting and communicating effectively with monitoring personnel, system engineers, developers and system SMEs to isolate hardware, software or system failures and ensure the proper course of remediation. Good verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate and notify cross-functional OpenText departments including but not limited to, Executive Management, IT Operations and International Regions (both Business and IT).
