Job Description:

An exciting opportunity as a Staff level senior member of an agile software/firmware development team. Embedded combustion / electrification controller software development for in-vehicle automotive powertrain controller products. Responsible for development of new products, and model year changes on existing products.

Typical Responsibilities:

  1. SW System Development: Follow and promote ASPICE software development process, analyze requirements, communicate with development team and customer, perform software design / development / testing / integration / trouble-shooting / review.
  2. SW Project Leadership: Lead an agile development team designing and implementing powertrain engine control software products. Set priorities, plan resources, track progress, manage risk, plan quality activities, communicate and negotiate with OEM/internal stakeholders in delivering the software system.
  3. SW System Integration / Customer SW Intergration: Act in central SW team role in bringing together software modules from various team members and locations in building and testing an intergrated software / hardware system. Support customer in properly configuring, interfacing, and integrating and testing OEM software together with supplied software modules and systems.
  4. Lead Designer / SW Architect: Act in a lead technical role in designing or supporting an overall software architecture to meet the product requirements and within the product constraints

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

1.) Bachelors degree in Engineering or Systems Engineering (typically Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering)
2.) 4+ years automotive embedded controller development and/or test experienced required, including bench-level analysis, debug, and testing
3.) Experience with planning and communication with teams, customers, and management
4.) Proficiency with microcontrollers and automotive development and testing technologies
5.) C language expert

Additional requirements:
1.) Expertise with embedded powertrain ECU development and test
2.) Expertise with scripting tools and methods to optimize SW development and testing activities
3.) Expertise with automotive Real Time Operating Systems (OSEK, AUTOSAR, etc.)
4.) Expertise with automotive communication tools (CAN, MOST, etc), diagnostic protocols (KWP200, UDS, etc.)
5.) Expertise with low level driver development
6.) Expertise with requirements elicitation and management
