Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product design or UX.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization such as Design, Engineers, Product, and Marketing throughout the design process; creating end-to-end journeys, user flows and wireframes for building user interface mockups and prototypes.

  • Experience crafting a product experience outlook and pitch, and design milestones resulting in product development and testing with the market.

  • Ability to explore business landscapes seeking insight that makes excellent design while blending design decisions with business strategies, to meet organizational goals.

  • A Portfolio highlighting multiple projects that demonstrates crafting usable digital interfaces.

As a User Experience (UX) leader, you help define and drive the future of Google design. You identify and set product strategy, envision complex UX ecosystems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what's possible. You possess a clear vision of the future of user experience and have the courage to pursue forward-thinking design.

In this role, you will apply your passion for brand, craft, and design fidelity to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of your team, and collaborate with leaders of other UX and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Google's products.

In this role, you will be partnering across disciplines to identify new product and experience opportunities, to craft a compelling product experience that delights users and meets business needs, leveraging the power of generative AI and your imagination. You'll collaborate with various Alphabet organizations to build a compelling and coherent user journey across Google's ecosystem.

User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love. We strive to learn and understand our users' needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. Our UX teams include designers, researchers, content strategists, and engineers who are passionate about quality, usability, and simplicity. We work on collaborative teams to solve complex challenges and craft experiences that highlight our products' unique capabilities and personalities. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Influence stakeholders across organizations to gain support for design strategies.

  • Lead the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.

  • Own a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.

  • Lead design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.

  • Guide and provide direction to UX designers in creating design concepts for user research/testing.
