Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Sr Staff Geotechnical Engineer to be located in Phoenix, AZ.

As part of our team, you'll contribute to our legacy, bringing innovative solutions to life and making a meaningful impact on global water resources.+ Conduct construction observations, reporting of daily construction and field operations, lead geotechnical field explorations, collect geotechnical samples, review of Geotechnical data, perform Geotechnical analysis, and report writing

• Contribute to draft RFI responses, reports, regulatory agency permits, as well as less complex external and internal documents.+ Prepare and review construction and geotechnical documents provided by the contractor
• Develop tangible engineering design skills through field experience. This may include construction support (verification of design implementation, adherence to quality, contractor/owner engagement), site inspections, and Geotechnical investigations. Also provide construction support from the office by adapting designs to field conditions.+ Recognize potential opportunities for additional work within an existing project or for an existing client.+ Demonstrate ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues.+ Execute project assignments while utilizing critical thinking, engineering procedures to carry out project tasks.+ Candidate will have an opportunity to be involved in the construction of in-house designs, which will build on existing client relationships and lead to future projects.+ Assisting in project management - tracking scope, schedule and budget

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.+ Valid drivers license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology preferred.+ 4 to 7 years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering projects.+ Arizona PE license or ability to obtain Arizona PE license within 6 months
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Experience using geotechnical software.+ Solid understanding of field work
• The ability to work well within a team

Additional Information+ Relocation is available for this position.+ Sponsorship is not available for this position.+ Regular Project site travel required for this role as needed. (est. up to 100%)

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $110,000.00.
