Senior Staff Accountant

Overview

TITLE: SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: SHAFTER, CA

COMPENSATION: $75,000 - $95,000 / YEAR

PURPOSE:

Assist in area of Farm Accounting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist with crop cost management including std rates, raw product entries, review/analyze farming overhead, water allocations, all farming inventories (chemicals, seed, compost, etc.), planting/listing entries, other farming operation related entries and other duties related to harvesting and packout data. Ad hoc analysis and report compilation as needed. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year Accounting Degree required from an accredited College/University.

• Three to five years of experience in related Farm Accounting environment required.

• Cost accounting experience a plus.

• Ideal candidate needs to possess solid accounting knowledge and experience.

• Experience with BI reporting tools with a basic understanding of database structure and SQL functions preferred.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Ten-key proficient required along with the ability to operate other office equipment.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be analytical, organized, detail oriented and able to follow instructions.

• Must possess good people skills and have professional appearance.

• Remote work not available for this position.

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean DMV driving record.

• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background check.
