Be more than a developer
The CTO feels strongly about cross-team communication and having engineers in the product discussion rather than just handing down technical direction
Creating required networks (VNETs, NSGs, Firewalls, Routing, VPN, etc.)
Provisioning resources like VMs, Storage Accounts, Gateways, etc
Configuring backups and recovery service vaults
Creating a 24/7 monitoring platform using Splunk, Data Dog, Log Analytics etc
Designing and implementing high-availability database infrastructures on-premise and in Azure
Manage and drive projects for building and maintaining the infrastructure, from iron to production
Work within and outside of Site Reliability Engineering, sharing ownership and ensuring success of the SRE project roadmap
7+ years of experience in the software world, and at least 3 in DevOps/SRE work.
Solid Experience with ASP.NET MVC and C#
Expert level experience: PowerShell, Python, bash, Azure CLI
Advanced level experience with: Azure ExpressRoute, Splunk, Chef, GIT, Docker, Visual Studio Team Services
Experience in Streaming data platforms and with multiple monitoring tools such as Splunk, Data Dog, ELK, Log Analytics, Cloud Watch etc
Advance understanding and experience of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Agile, and DevOps methodologies
Expert developing products and service with public cloud technologies - Amazon AWS, OpenStack, CloudStack or Microsoft Azure
Experience with SQL Server + (IaaS and PaaS)
Knowledge of Web Services / RESTful API creation and integration
Understanding of critical infrastructure functions like dns/dhcp/directory services/kerberos etc
Understanding of network routing, and security
Advance understanding and experience of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Agile, and DevOps methodologies
Demonstrated high proficiency in written and verbal communication skills
Highly self-motivated, and able to prioritize and manage tactical tasks with varying deadlines. Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
Presents professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers
Ability to hit the ground running and provide value immediately
Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills
Familiarity with using and supporting analytics systems like Hive, Redshift, Presto, Tableau and similar tools
Familiarity with performance debugging and tuning at the OS, JVM and cluster (MapReduce, Hive, Spark jobs) levels
Proficient in high level scripting languages C Sharp preferred
Experience with MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure a plus. - provided by Dice .net, Python, Powershell, Azure

You will be joining a DevOps team that works side by side with Backend and Platform teams to meet the needs of our growing client base. You work to mitigate hardware bottlenecks and make sure all resources are properly utilized. Essential Responsibilities: * Release stack experience in Jenkins and CI/CD workflows. * Linux Redhat/Centos sysadmin experience, including shell automation/diagnostics. * Database administration: RDS and MySQL experience. * Site performance: NGINX/UWSGI stack, memcache. * Oncall pager duty 1 week a month (no overnight required) * Familiarity with NewRelic APM and Atlassian stack environment. * Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: * A Bachelors degree in a tech related field and at least 5 years of experience in a technology focused roles * 2+ years of experience in a Development operations role * AWS cloud experience with competencies in security and EC2 management Desired Characteristics: * AWS multi-region network design and scaling * Cassandra administration and * Support of RabbitMQ/AMQ, scaling and stack design. * Developer experience building web applications with Python and Ruby. * Experience with Atlassian Suite of products, including JIRA/Confluence/Stash/Bitbucket. * Kubernetes/Docker experience.
