SENIOR SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR JOB SUMMARY
Performs implementation and maintenance of MS SQL server database applications.
Performs technical duties with no technical supervision. Researching, designing, programming, testing, debugging, training, documenting, releasing, installing and supporting any system supported.
Provides technical leadership, guidance, and training to other technical staff.
Provides creative thinking and resolves problems.
Oversees and works with staff, associates, and users to find the best technological means to meet business needs.
Administering, maintaining and tuning SQL databases including database backup and recovery
Develops physical and logical data model and write stored procedures.
Develops specifications and conducts research with the assistance of users and others to design, create, develop, or enhance computer applications.
Prepares the required documents in accordance with programming standards, policies and procedures.
Keeps abreast of new technologies and makes recommendations.
Researches current technology for use in applications.
Performs end user and internal training as needed.
Participates and leads project teams, special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
Performs goals and objectives within set deadlines.
Recommends policy and procedure for assigned areas as needed.
Provides good customer relations across the range of activities including Support Services, BHS Business Units, vendors and IDS members.
Promotes corporate integrity through compliance with the Corporate Compliance Program.
SENIOR SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a Bachelor s degree and four years related experience,
Healthcare experience highly desired.
Possess solid database management skills and the ability to work from more of a cross-functional standpoint.
Proficiency in MS SQL server administration & windows NT administration
Proficiency in more than two technical operating environments.
5+ years of experience with MS SQL Server Database Administration
Exposure to SSIS and SSAS Development
SENIOR SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Epic- Clarity experience preferred.
EPIC Clarity Administration Certification is a plus
Experience working with EPIC/SAP Business Intelligence Integration is a plus
SQL Server MCSA - 2012/2014 Certification is a plus
