We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting a customer based in Fort Meade, MD. As a Senior SPLUNK Systems Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in Linux with Scripting skills (Bash, Python), as well as your experience in Cloud/AWS administration, hardware/software engineering, configuration, and deployment. Familiarity with Nifi is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.

• Guide users in formulating requirements and provide advice on alternative approaches, conducting feasibility studies as necessary.

• Provide technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology.

• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.

• Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.

• Guide system development and implementation planning, including the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.

• Interact with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated issues or conflicts.

• Assume ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area.

• Communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

• Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer

• In Lieu of Degree nineteen (19) years, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in architecting, deploying, and administering SPLUNK.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Nifi is desirable.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.

• Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.

• Regular use of computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

• Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations.

• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
