This role will join the Qualcomm IT Operations Management & Analytics team and will be responsible for helping to manage Qualcomms global Splunk infrastructure, onboard new data sources, and assist with the creation and deployment of knowledge objects. This is a multi-disciplinary role that will interact directly with developers and different functional IT and security teams to gather requirements, architect solutions and deliver value. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree. Preferred Qualifications

  • Python scripting/development experience

  • AWS experience

  • A broad technical and business understanding and experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Splunk search language and search best practices

  • Splunk administration experience

  • Experience creating and managing Splunk knowledge objects (field extractions, macros, event types, etc) -Linux sysadmin experience -git/GitHub experience

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues to diverse audiences in an easily understandable and actionable way

  • Proven ability to engage collaboratively with people in diverse teams and geographical locations

  • Experience with one or more Splunk applications (ITSI, Enterprise Security, Database Connect, Splunk app for Service Now) Education Requirements Bachelor's degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The US Air Force' Space and Missile Command (SMC), US Navy's Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Scientific Research Corporation (SRC), and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) are teaming together to develop the next generation of infrastructure and platform to support the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) domain. The project, Section 31, is in the early stages of development and in need of your support on its' Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team.
