The Senior Specialist, Social Media at Brother develops and executes organic social media content aligned with marketing objectives. The Senior Specialist manages project initiation, creative briefing, copywriting, content development, and deployment in collaboration with internal teams. The role supports marketing with content for launches and events, monitor competitors, recommend optimizations, and engage with followers. The role also analyzes metrics, translate data into recommendations, and collaborate with our ambassadors, educators, and influencers.

The Senior Specialist, Social Media requires a strategic thinker with storytelling skills, creativity, and strong social media and analytics knowledge.

  • WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Content Creation

  • Develop data-driven organic social media content aligned with Brother's marketing objectives.

  • Manage project initiation, creative briefing, copywriting, proofing, execution, and deployment for social media initiatives including the development of graphics, images, and videos - working in collaboration with the social media and creative teams.

  • Support the marketing team with organic strategies and content production for product launches and events, both physical and virtual.

  • Work with the Senior Manager to develop Brother's UGC, Contest, and corresponding Livestream strategies to drive continuous customer interactivity.

Social Media Management

  • Monitor competitor activities to enhance social share of voice, positive sentiment, and brand affinity for Brother products.

  • Recommend organic optimizations and new content trends based on trend analysis and engagement insights.

  • Ensure timely responses to follower questions, comments, and reviews across our communities in collaboration with our customer service and community management agency.

  • Schedule social media content across our social media landscape.

  • Use our social media management tool to track sentiment and key conversation trends across the social media and digital landscape.

  • Develop target audiences and boosting strategies based on profile and interaction criteria to enhance visibility and engagement with our organic content.

Analytics and Insights

  • Analyze metrics using standardized KPIs and formulas to assess the impact of initiatives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, hosting review meetings at least quarterly.

  • Translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media campaigns, and present key learnings and action items to senior leadership.

  • Review web analytics data to drive marketing decisions based on customer interactions, online behavior, and conversion data.

  • Utilize data-driven analytics tools to monitor social media performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with ambassadors, educators, influencers, and product experts to develop and execute creative ideas aligned with business objectives, both onsite and offsite as required.

  • Be open to and collaborate/brainstorm with product and marketing communications teams as needed to ensure alignment with overall strategies.

  • Communicate and collaborate with other tactics, such as email, web, and creative, on various initiatives to drive business outcomes.

  • ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Social Media, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Social Media , Copywriting and content creation.

  • Experience working in an agency or working with agencies.

  • Experience with social media software (i.e. Khoros, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, etc.)

  • Passion/interest in social media.

Software/Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of various Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok and Twitter)
  • Knowledge of Social Media Management & Analytics software (e.g. Khoros, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Facebook Insights, Simply Measured, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SEO principles, including keyword research and Google Analytics.

  • Proven ability to develop captivating content across various formats and platforms.

  • Exceptional talent for crafting persuasive and resonant messaging.

  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools to extract actionable insights from data.

  • Effective collaboration with Marketing Communications and Product teams.

  • Constantly seeking new ways to engage the audience and convey the brand message effectively.

  • Flexibility to respond to evolving social media trends and best practices.

  • Genuine interest in staying up to date with industry trends and digital marketing.

  • Ability to execute projects from beginning to end with minimal supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of copy, visual, audio, and video content development and strategy.

  • Knowledge of content marketing theory and application, especially in social media.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with various objectives.

  • Command of techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution.

  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative analytics techniques for continuous improvement.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE

  • This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $80,000 - $98,700 per year.

  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.

  • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives.
