Cardinal Health PET Manufacturing Services is responsible for manufacturing PET radiopharmaceuticals to enhance patient treatment through improved disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.

The primary work environment consists of a manufacturing pharmacy which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition. Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards. The facility is operated under well-controlled and closely monitored conditions that are regulated by both State and Federal agencies, and that are enforced by the corporate internal quality and regulatory group. Each staff member will receive specific training in keeping radiation exposures within regulatory guidelines and he/she will be routinely monitored for their exposure to radiation. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.

What Quality Assurance contributes to Cardinal Health

  • Quality Assurance is responsible for developing and implementing a compliant and cost effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective

  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality systems and approaches.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the relevant regulations, standards and operating procedures.

  • Demonstrates ability to perform investigations / root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the requirements and has the ability to perform gap assessments to those requirements.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of quality concepts such as: cost of quality, analytical metrics and / or statistics, trending, quality planning, validation, CAPA and problem solving.

  • Works cross-functionally and has the ability to interpret the requirements as well as educate and influence others on those requirements.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. This is a night position. Monday

  • Friday 12 am

  • 8:00 am. Will work holidays if the site works holiday. Must be flexible to work other days, shifts, schedules and weekends if needed. Candidate must be flexible based on business need.

Accountabilities

  • Handles CGMP documentation review related to product release, facilities and equipment, material controls, laboratory controls, packaging and labeling, and production & process controls.

  • Establishes and reports metrics related products and processes as deemed necessary by the Regional Quality Manager RQM.

  • Ensures the site manufactures products to meet the requirements of 21 CFR 212 (CGMP)

  • Handles and ensures quality of documentation (control, retention, and archival) to support CGMP activities

  • Engages and collaborates with operations department to drive quality system and CGMP requirements

  • Performs product release activities per CGMP requirements

  • Reports quality system issues to the RQM and others as necessary. This includes timely escalation of discrepancies upon identification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related science field, or equivalent work experience (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics) preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in related science field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in QA and/or regulated environment highly preferred cGMP

  • Pharmaceutical or medical device experience a plus

  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills

  • ISO experience a plus

  • Quality Assurance background preferred

  • Ability to lift between 50-75 lbs

A day in the life of a Software Quality Assurance Manager The Software Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the efficient, effective operation of the Software Quality Assurance team in accordance with established policies and procedures and credit union strategic goals and mission. This position is responsible for the supervision of the Software Quality Assurance employees including selection, training, coaching, mentoring, evaluation and compensation. The Software Quality Assurance Manager has direct responsibility for the administration and supervision of all digital and core system testing & deployment, and related audit functions for the credit union. Responsibilities * Responsible for mentoring and fostering the overall development of the Software Quality Assurance employees, including, training and ongoing development, coaching, selection and hiring process, the promotion and performance evaluation of the Software Quality Assurance employees. * Manage day-to-day operations of the quality assurance team including: scheduling, application support, problem resolution, and enhancement requests for digital and core system applications from throughout the credit union, and ensure employees meet their annual training requirements and goals. * Oversee the quality assurance process for all digital and core system projects to ensure solutions that are created meet acceptance criteria, standards are adhered to, the testing process has been completed before releasing code, and that all development follows the established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including: analysis, design, development, code review, testing, change management, etc. * Supervise ongoing quality assurance and code deployment for internal and external websites and applications, digital banking systems, core system applications and mobile applications. Ensure code is tested and all changes meet quality standards prior to implementation. * Orchestrate deployments of all digital and core solutions including validation of testing, integration testing, foster communication of releases, train solution administrators, validate software documentation, and support end user training. * Oversee the software bug tracking process, including prioritization of software bugs reported and ensuring timely resolution by the development team. * Support the development application support process to ensure timely communication and completion of escalated support tickets and maintenance projects. * Support the user experience design process including requirements gathering, prototyping, user testing, stakeholder management, etc. * Lead team meetings and conduct written and/or verbal presentations to department, management, and credit union staff. * Analyze metrics and usage of digital channels and core systems to monitor service levels and trends. Determine future projects, staffing needs, and overall evaluation of team performance and efficiency. Oversee the proper allocation of team resources to achieve project objectives; evaluating appropriate workload and variety of projects for developers and designers. * Responsible for ensuring the security, safety, and integrity of member data, the internal and external credit union websites and applications, digital banking systems, core system applications and mobile applications. * Assist in the facilitation of the proper operation of all computer systems including the Symitar host and 3rd party systems that interact with the Symitar system. This includes: * Proper monitoring * Ensuring automated jobs run as scheduled and logs are completed in accordance with established credit union policies and procedures * Oversee the coordination with system vendors for the repair of any software or hardware problems * Ensure routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established standards * Oversee coordination of the production of electronic data (e.g. member statements) * Provide application security auditors with source code and access to test systems; interpreting and responding to audit findings, communicating application audit findings to development team and ensure that defects in code are corrected. * Analyze and research quality assurance and deployment best practices and related tools in the industry. Design, develop, and implement quality assurance and deployment solutions that server to reduce costs or to improve SDLC workflow and service to members. * Responsible for making sure Quality Assurance employees meet deadlines and deliver necessary resources on their assigned tasks for credit union wide projects. * Ensure team documentation is followed and kept up to date for quality assurance, deployment, or development standards, processes, or procedures; compliance documentation (e.g. FFIEC), disaster recovery procedures, or other types of documentation for this team. * Works with IT Management to determine action for any system problem, hardware problem, or usage problem whereby the integrity of the credit union networks or systems could be compromised. * Coordinate the development team response to credit union phishing attack including; supporting the security analysts in initiating/following internal credit union communication process, contacting our phishing prevention vendor, and utilizing other resources as necessary. * Develop relationships with third party vendors as necessary for assigned projects, including communicating via email, phone, or other method to arrange meetings and discuss questions and requirements in order to complete assigned projects. * Work closely with other Information Technology teams and other credit union departments; coordinating projects that need shared resources, determining and resolving any overlapping impacts on various systems, and ensuring good working relationships between all employees. Will be asked to lead project teams on occasion. * Assist the Chief Information Officer and AVP of Software Development in researching new and innovative products and/or processes to enhance digital service delivery. * Participate in training activities within the department/branches/human resources, as well as training outside the department; such training helps to ensure staff compliance with Credit Union policies and state and federal regulations and laws. * Perform other duties and assist other employees, as assigned. What you can bring to MSUFCU: * Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent, or actively pursuing this degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology Management, Business Administration or another related field from accredited four-year college. * Familiarity with and understanding of computers, network and database server infrastructure, networks and the internet, including internet protocols, standards and information security, web and mobile application security concerns, OWASP top-10, and common exploits, etc. * Five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in either software quality assurance, development or management type work preferred. * Previous programming and related experience helpful, knowledge of personal computers and the ability to troubleshoot web applications preferred. Familiarity with some of the following programing languages preferred: PHP, SQL/MySQL, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, PERL, Python, Ruby, C# or Java, Objective-C/Swift. User Experience design experience is helpful. * Must be able to communicate with members, staff, and individuals in the community in a professional manner. This will require excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to present and explain information effectively for non-technically inclined individuals. * Ability to read and understand complex computer system documentation. * Must have proven project management skills with projects of varying complexity and experience. * Knowledge or experience with agile development methodologies and software, preferred. * Must be able to attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions out of the area. * Ability to use good judgment to solve problems efficiently and accurately and handle complex details. * Multi-task orientation to handle and manage a number of projects at once while remaining flexible to changing requirements and priorities. * Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner and collaborate effectively in teams with all levels of the organization. * Must be available outside of normal business hours to assist in recovery in the event of a failure or outage of a critical credit union system.
