UPM Raflatac is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist located in Asheville, NC at our Biltmore Park office location.

What you will do
Localize UPM Raflatac's annual communications strategy and create an annual regional communications plan
Produce regional communications content, such as press releases, case studies, and articles
Develop and implement internal and external communications campaigns and activities in the Americas region, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Create engaging social media content, utilize social media platforms in creative ways, and optimize the use of social media automation tools to grow our social communities
Actively engage with the regional industry press and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to increase coverage of UPM Raflatac in trade media
Innovate, produce and moderate various virtual events, including monthly business webinars and quarterly Town Hall meetings
Contribute to the execution of our UPM employer branding strategy in the Americas region
Facilitate internal communications through our network of terminals and factories in North and Latin Americas, including safety and crisis communications
Align on and report the key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and external communications activities
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in communications, including public relations, corporate communications and/or content writing, with a proven history of completed projects
You have, at a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Business or related field
You are fluent in spoken and written English, with good knowledge of grammatical rules. Spanish is an asset. Furthermore, you are comfortable collaborating with executive leaders, as well as with external stakeholders in the trade media
You are willing to push the boundaries of creativity when it comes to creating engaging communications campaigns across multiple channels. You act when you see an opportunity or a need to get things done
You excel in the art of storytelling and are highly skilled in utilizing software such as Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of Adobe Suite is an asset
You are savvy in using social media for business communications and have experience in creating visually engaging content for this channel
You possess crisis communication skills, work well in a fast-paced environment, and adapt easily to changing conditions
You have a motivated, proactive, and result-orientated way of working. You work well individually and in teams
You are adept at organizing, open to change, and skilled in project coordination
Experience in working within international companies is an asset
Capability to travel in the U.S. and internationally is required

The position is located in Asheville, NC, at our Biltmore Park office location.
Workplace type: hybrid (3 days at least at the office per week).
Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
