Job Summary

The Sr. Marketing Specialist position is responsible for helping with the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives related to retention and acquisition of service line patients. Bachelor's degree required, with preference given to those with degree in a related field such as marketing, communications, journalism or business. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required. Solid understanding of consumer marketing journey and strategy preferred.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as a representative for Atrium Health and for the Corporate Communications, Marketing & Outreach team helping coordinate and execute service line patient retention and acquisition campaigns and provides excellent customer service in all interactions externally and internally.

  • Collaborates with the Manager(s) and other department leadership; starts developing annual plans and programs that effectively integrate with Corporate Communications, Marketing & Outreach strategies and that are measurable in design and execution.

  • Communicates with department teammates and supervisor on a daily basis and serves as a peer leader in managing projects.

  • Able to work independently and efficiently to balance multiple tasks at one time in a fast paced environment.

  • Begins to identify trends affecting projects and Atrium Health; shows interest in healthcare competitive/marketplace dynamics. Understands component tasks and their relationship to the broader focus of the project; begins to lead initiatives.

  • Interfaces with departments across the organization, with senior staff and with other critical functions staff as needed and as appropriate on issues and matters related to the goals and priorities of the organization.

  • Asks questions during project to gain understanding of decision-making process.

  • Selects from among multiple data sources those which link to desired project outcomes.

  • Prepares narrative explanations of analyses as appropriate and contributes to project final deliverables. Provides regular progress updates and suggests potential solutions to project barriers.

  • Demonstrates a team player attitude and a positive approach to maintain collaboration across all work units within the department. Shares information and skills with other associates.

Physical Requirements

Works primarily in an office environment with occasional travel around the Charlotte area. Occasional evening and weekend work. Position requires walking around campus and/or other facilities. Must be able to drive and have access/use of a personal vehicle. Requires reading materials, speaking clearly on the telephone, and operating computer keyboard. Occasional lifting of documents or supplies.

Educational Experience

Bachelor's degree required, with preference given to those with degree in a related field such as marketing, communications, journalism or business. Minimum 3 years' experience required. Solid understanding of consumer marketing journey and strategy preferred. Must be able to work quickly under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once. Excellent written and verbal skills required. Ability to set clear goals and execute projects from start to finish.

Essential Role and Responsibilities: * Manage multiple marketing projects with competing deadlines. * Search for published opportunities and mange pursuit process including preparation of submittals, including project profiles, resumes, SOQ's and additional information. * Facilitate strategic discussions on how to increase win rate based upon competitor and client research. * Collaborate with department and project managers and/or pursuit champions to plan, coordinate, design, edit, and produce strategic, high-quality submittals to RFP and RFQ responses. * Aid and actively participate in the event planning and organization of tradeshows/conferences/community involvement/client appreciation gift efforts. * Maintain, utilize, and champion CRM efforts. * Provide support and miscellaneous marketing requests and firm initiatives. Preferred Qualifications: * Located in Raleigh, NC, but open to candidates in other locations. Position can be virtual, but will require some in-person / in-office work. * A/E/C industry knowledge is highly desired. * Knowledge on how to properly fill out an SF-330 form * Strong experience with Microsoft Office formatting (required) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) preferred. * Experience with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus, but not a requirement. * Social Media/Public Relations experience is desired.
