Job Summary

The Optimum Business Indirect Channel's objective is to sell business products and services not directly to customers, but through third-party entities such as distributors, resellers, or other partners. These partners can market, sell, and even service the products on behalf of Optimum Business.

Having an Indirect Channel allows access to a wider market and customer base, allowing Optimum Business to tap into new geographic areas and market segments more efficiently. Our indirect channel consists of the following sales channels:

  • Agents: Individuals or firms that act as intermediaries between manufacturers and customers, earning commissions on sales

  • Carriers (Wholesalers): Companies that buy products (in this case Internet service) in bulk from manufacturers and sell them to retailers or other businesses at a discounted price

  • Value-added resellers (VARs): Companies that enhance or modify products or services before selling them to end customers, often bundling them with additional services or features

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design, development and launch of programs aimed at targeting new and existing distributors and key accounts

  • Enhancing current communications and building rewards and incentive programs to support the individual sales channels with the goal of hitting quota and generating revenue

  • Provide day-to-day creative management and execution of all indirect sales channels campaigns, newsletters, communications, initiatives and sales enablement needs

  • Manage customer portals to ensure branding and information is up to date

  • Proof all creative copy for informational accuracy, consistency and communication effectiveness

  • Work with internal and external creative agency to maximize the quality and effectiveness of the work and ensure on-time and on-strategy delivery of creative that is within brand guidelines

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including product, offers, billing, legal on Indirect Channel marketing needs

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with B2B indirect sales channels to listen to their needs, and execute their actions

  • Support alternate sales channels by planning and attending tradeshows & events.

  • Manage development of event materials and reimagine event spaces to help promote new products and services and drive leads

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a marketing or account management role, preferably B2B experience

  • Integrated marketing or advertising experience with knowledge of creative development preferred

  • Experience interfacing with internal and external creative agencies/vendors

  • Strong project management skills with proven track record of successfully leading all aspects of projects, from ideation to execution

  • Ability and willingness to travel out-of-state to attend in person events

  • Upbeat, energetic and enthusiastic person with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude that challenges the status quo

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with proven ability to give extensive creative and copywriting direction

  • Creative, flexible and innovative team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to react and adapt to fast-changing business environment

  • Must be able to follow through on assignments with a sense of accountability

  • Experience in telecommunications and the indirect channel a big plus!

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00 - $126,684.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
