Responsibilities:

As a Senior Space Systems Engineer and Chief Architect professional with MTSI you will provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to achieve cost-effective, long-term, critical capabilities to support the war-fighting mission of the combatant commanders. This position will be located in the Washington, DC area.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Perform duties of chief architect/chief engineer for government customer.

  • Apply modeling and simulation to analyze system and mission design studies to inform USSF funding priorities.

  • Evaluate technology trends against mission suitability and system development feasibility for future engineering trade studies.

  • Develop presentations to summarize capability and technology recommendations for recurring government-hosted conferences.

  • Work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.

  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of DoD and IC experience with no less than two (2) years' experience in Special Access Programs and/or SCI environment within the last five (5) years

  • Extensive experience with large-scale engineering studies, such as Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)

  • Acquisition and technical experience in multiple phonomenologies (SIGINT, GEOINT, MASINT, etc.)

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be capable of developing briefings and reports accurately summarizing program performance and addressing key issues for senior DAF and OSD leadership, and other DoD offices.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience developing space payload systems, including on-orbit initialization.

  • Relevant experience in mission integration, operations analysis and support, logistics, maintenance, personnel support and government program office support

Education Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in a related technical field

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI with previous SAP experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
