Position Purpose: Responsible for developing strategies and plans focused on sourcing candidates in effort to fill open roles utilizing various sourcing channels and tools. Responsible for enhancing the organization's ability to identify, assess and build a network of candidates specific to open positions within the organization.

Implement recruiting strategies in effort to source for qualified candidates for open positions in a designated functional area of the organization.

Partner with functional areas to understand talent needs and perform strategic research and data-driven sourcing activities.

Utilize a variety of sourcing channels including external jobs boards, social media, internet search, database search, etc. that are in line with the organizations branding and social media policies with a focus on direct sourcing of passive candidates.

Serve as the first point of contact for candidates, ensuring that candidates are effectively pre-screened in order to continue recruitment process.

Screen candidates for skill, cultural, and motivational fit, utilizing behavioral based approach screening criteria defined by the functional area.

Maintain timely and accurate information on all candidate interactions in the database.

Proactively build a pipeline of pre-qualified candidate pools in line with the supporting functional area's workforce plans.

Maintain contact with existing talent pool candidates to provide information on current and future opportunities and obtain up to date market information aligned with functional area.

Serve as a subject matter expert in prospecting techniques and tools used for information retrieval, data extraction, web-scraping, and customer relationship management.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. 5 years of direct sourcing and/or full life-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures related to recruiting, staffing and on-boarding. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and various Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS applications. Healthcare experience preferred.

This leadership position will be responsible for developing the business plans, sourcing strategies, cost improvement, contracting strategies, marketing and communication plans for four key areas of focus; Private Label, CPT, Bulk-Buy/Investment-Buy and Non-Acute. This position provides leadership, support and strategic direction primarily focused on Medical and Surgical, Pharmacy, Lab, Radiology, non-clinical related products/services and non-traditional spend categories. A key focus of this position is to develop optimal business strategies while matrix managing coworker relationships that will improve Mercy's cost position and reduce uncontrolled variation, additionally this individual will be closely involved with the Mercy Aligned process for the current facilities served by Mercy while being responsible for introducing and implementing the Mercy Aligned process to the Non-Acute marketplace which today is extremely under-served by Mercy. The Director will have direct P&L responsibility for the areas of focus as described. The Director reports to the Vice President of Group Purchasing and is a member of the GPOs Senior Management Team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. * In collaboration with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Group Purchasing Partner when needed, develop business processes and relationships that provide both traditional and non-traditional methodologies and set a new standard for collaboration on quality, service integration, and cost management. * In sync with the strategic direction of Mercy, implement strategic programs that reduce cost as well as maximize and redirect supply chain revenue streams to Sisters of Mercy. * Lead Mercy through aggressive negotiation strategies that continue to improve our unit cost position as measured by the industry best practice. * Utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills, present to appropriate groups information related to identified opportunities, their implementation, and post-decision results in order to maximize effectiveness of the service and cost management activities. * Work collaboratively with Analytics, Capital, Finance and Mercy Councils to develop and drive strategic sourcing activities. * Develop and meet financial and operational budgets for the Acute and Non-Acute portfolios. * Work collaboratively with the Mercy clinical and implementation teams to maximize contract compliance and product consolidation. * Support and facilitate the consistent deployment and integration of operational systems impacting the focused spend categories across Mercy.
