Description

We're seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to spend about 60% of their time doing solutions architecture work for incoming technology due diligence and transformational projects, and their remaining time will be spent building a community of practice around architecture principles at Emory.

• Serve as ambassador across the clinical, university, and business areas, advocating for enterprise architecture and explaining its value proposition and engagement model.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into digital solutions.
• Design end-to-end solutions that integrate various healthcare systems, applications, and data sources to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
• Develop architectural designs, specifications, and implementation plans for digital solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare industry, and make recommendations for adoption based on their potential impact and value.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment and support.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and address concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in a related IT or Engineering discipline Minimum of 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry.
• Deep understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, DICOM, and FHIR.
• Proficiency in architecting solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with healthcare-specific cloud services.
• Experience with healthcare information systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchanges (HIE), and Population Health Management (PHM) platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• The ideal candidate will be energetic, outgoing, organized, and able to build excitement within the architecture community of practice. They will manage communications, organize lunch & learns, and leverage Emory Digital's architectural references and frameworks to deliver training to domain architects and other technical leads.
