Oversee the architecture and project delivery for a specific business domain, in this case select Commercial and Medical applications with a focus on (but not limited to) Patient Services and Marketing platforms and products.
Build deep understanding of the applications within the business domain and assess how solutions align/fit within the broader enterprise architecture.
Work with vendors, internal IT resources, and Business Leads to propose and execute strategic enhancements, redesign workflows to increase efficiencies, and streamline other technical processes.
Work with the development, production and support teams to provide design guidelines and impart knowledge on technical trends and solutions.
Work with Functional Architects to align domain-specific solutions with enterprise architecture standards and processes; understand surrounding solutions and enterprise information flow.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to the technical support team.Translate detailed business and technical requirements into high-performing, reliable conceptual roadmaps and solutions that meet business needs.

Work with IT functional leads and project managers upstream & downstream (project planning & initiation phase as well as delivery phase) to define initiatives, scope, plan, and objectives to ensure appropriate delivery budget planning & resourcing.
Develop and facilitate strategies for system, data and application integration, ensuring that interfaces supporting domain solutions are properly identified, designed, and implemented.
Provide oversight and guidance to all related technical support teams: work with and manage team of internal and external 3rd party technical resources performing analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment activities.
Ensure internal and external 3rd party resources comply with the Biogen SDLC methodology to ensure the delivery of highly scalable and secure solutions that are optimized for performance.
Manage efforts across Support and satellite system specialists to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solutions.
Ensure maintenance and quality of architecture documentation.
Transition solutions, once delivered, to the technical support team for ongoing support and maintenance.
Provide guidance to operational solution support team as needed.
Strong understanding of foundational architectural concepts (design, business technology strategy, quality management, and IT environments), architecture methodologies, standards, and tools.
7 years' relevant experience in IT, systems/platform architecture within a life sciences, services company or related consulting firm.
Applied experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) lightening development and configuration, internal and external integrations (Informatica ETL and API web services)
Agile development methodology
Application deployment and monitoring tools
5+ years of experience in Salesforce.com platform as a developer
4+ years of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Process Builders and Salesforce application design & development experience
2+ years of Lighting Framework development experience (Lightning Web Components, Aura)
3+ years of development experience in developing integrations using SOAP & REST API's
Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Programming techniques
Experience with the Setup UI to configure Service Cloud in Salesforce Lightning
Excellent knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture and data model
Experience in Agile development methodologies
Strong knowledge of customization, programming with APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Components, Apex Data Loader, etc.
Hands-on experience working with Salesforce API (Tooling API, Metadata API, Canvas, Rest/ SOAP API, Bulk API, etc.)
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Oversight of onsite and offshore technical support teams
Research, implementation of new product features, functionality with customer prototyping, pilots.
Research and implementation of new ways to provide analytical insights based on data originating from multiple source systems.
Experience with database design concepts, middleware concepts, user interface development, and information security engineering
Familiarity with Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform technical limitations and common technical design patterns, integration patterns and business application development patterns
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, hybrid, other).
Excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities with ability to understand commercial business information, logically structure them into IT elements that build practical solutions, identify root causes of issues, conduct troubleshooting, and perform impact analysis.
