Senior Software Test Engineer

As a Senior Software Test Engineer you will create and implement test procedures to analyze and ensure quality of software programs.

• Develop test requirements for software programs.

• Design, develop, deploy, and execute manual and automated test scripts for software programs.

• Create automated testing for software programs.

• Create and/or update documentation.

• Utilize software as intended to better understand the product.

• Define and execute test scenarios.

• Complete test data analysis and prepare reports, and provide recommendations based on findings.

• Work with engineering to research failed cases using data from testing to debug software issues.

• Research new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.

• Assist with training needs as it relates to new or existing software test methods.

• Demonstrate support for company culture in their daily actions and behaviors.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.

• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standard

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechnical, or software) with 5+ years of engineering experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience working in an Agricultural setting where there were hands on requirements for job responsibilities.

• Proficient in Software integration testing based on system requirements.

• Proficient with programming language, such as Python, C/C++, and any scripting languages.

• Knowledge of CAN/LIN protocols, CAN/LIN measurement tools like CANalyzer, INCA etc.

• Proficient with Software Configuration Management tools like GIT, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub.

• Proficient in contributing to test plan development and modularize test cases based on the superset test plan

• Proficient with Integration Requirement Management and Defect Tracking tools like Polarion, Doors, Jira etc.

• Proficient working on embedded and cloud-based software services.

• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.

• Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership staff.
