This job was posted by : For more information, please see: DescriptionTitle- Senior Software QA EngineerLocation- Rosemont, ILDuration- Long Term ContractPosition DescriptionAs a member of the Technology organization, the Test Engineer will evaluate and execute procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for all software developed for mobile, online and legacy platforms.
This position is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the functional and technical requirements and maintain high overall product quality. The Test Engineer will interface with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Developers, End Users, and Scrum Masters to deliver products with quality and on schedule.Duties and responsibilities:Review business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, design, and architecture documents in order to create effective test plans.Become an expert in system functionality and architecture.Develop, modify, and execute software test plans.Maintain documentation of test results.Report and track defects through system of record
At least 6 years of extensive professional experience in Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution analysis & reporting
Strong experience in Regression Test Strategies, Regression suite maintenance and execution.Strong experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Experience in Mobile and Web testing.Hands-on experience with Jira, ALM, TFS or similar systems of record.Strong experience using SQL queries for test results and data mining.Coding and development experience are a plus.Hands-on experience with SoapUI, Selenium (with Java preferred).Hands-on experience in designing and building automation frameworks.Hands-on experience with MDM testing is highly preferred.Ability to triage and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and support development team to provide resolutions
