Position Description:

Performs version control and continuous integration of build, deploy, and test processes, using Jenkins, Stash and uDeploy. Designs, develops, implements, and supports mission critical, front end Web applications and financial tools using Wealthscape suite. Develops maintainable, scalable, and multi-tiered applications in a paired programming environment. Builds Web applications using Spring Framework and Java EE platform. Builds Cloud enabled applications using 12 factor design. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing build and release engineering using Jenkins and uDeploy.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing build and release engineering using Jenkins and uDeploy.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing automated provisioning of Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Compute, Storage, Container Services, Load Balancer and Azure Cloud services; orchestrating and designing Cloud services to host Web applications and automate build and deployment processes, using AWS Cloud formation, Terraform, and Azure DevOps; and configuring distributed systems to maintain Artificial Intelligence (AI), trading, and healthcare Web applications.

  • DE performing Demilitarized Zone ("DMZ") subnetwork for external facing Web-applications; setting up Airflow for data engineering applications; creating databases using AWS RDS,

  • PostgreSQL, and Redis; creating search platforms using ElasticSearch; and enabling application logging and infrastructure monitors

  • Network flow, Disk utilization, CPU, and Memory -using Datadog.
  • DE performing containerization of Web applications using Docker; deploying applications using Helm, Kubernetes, Hashicorp Vault, and Nginx; setting up Linux and Windows systems using Ansible; setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process in UDeploy and Jenkins using Groovy; and building, scanning, testing, deploying and withdrawing Java and Python based Web applications using Shell.

  • DE performing DevOps automations using Python; provisioning firecall using Shell; performing change management, auto-scaling, and promotion using ServiceNow; administering source code and artifact management tools

  • Bitbucket, GitHub and Artifactory; providing production support, security patching, and performance insights; and performing disaster recovery and chaos testing using Gremlin.
