Position Description:

Builds and supports real-time Application Program Interfaces (APIs) using middle-ware tools -- Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 12c. Develops software solutions and analyzes technical requirements in Ariba P2P and Oracle E-Business Suite platforms. Maintains and improves Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems using Oracle E-Business Suite (OBIEE) R12 and SAP (Ariba, Concur, and Fieldglass). Performs code migrations/configurations, release management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and application support using ServiceNow, DevOps, Git, and TortoiseSVN. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

  • Coordinates work intake processes and integrating complex systems to meet business use cases.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) providing customized software solutions using Oracle in a financial accounting service environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) providing customized software solutions using Oracle in a financial accounting service environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) modules (Account Payables, Account Receivables, Cash Management, Financial Accounting Hub, Purchasing, Order Management, and General Ledger) for Accounting and Finance business functions, using PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Java, WebADI, Oracle Forms and Reports, XML Publisher and Unix Shell Scripting.
  • DE developing integration solutions to connect with EBS boundary systems using REST WebService API's or PowerShell/Groovy scripting; performing scheduling/orchestration to migrate on-premises tools to Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) SaaS (Modules of Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) replaces HFM tool, Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS) replaces Cadency, or Free Form Planning (FFP) replaces Essbase.
  • DE performing code migrations and configuration, release management, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in EBS Release R12 to implement accounting/financial modules (payables and sub-ledger accounting).
  • DE developing and supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) modules using PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Java, WebADI, Oracle Forms and Reports, XML Publisher, or Unix Shell Scripting.
