Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Independently acquire feature requirements from product/marketing/sales team, evaluate importance and prioritize tasks. Design software architecture and implement it in C++ with high quality in term of both correctness and performance.

Independently write unit tests and end to end tests with standar. Guarantee enough static and dynamic code coverage. Code review and provide valuable feedback for colleague's implementation.

Help junior engineers to improve code quality. Independently troubleshoot test/production issues and provide quick fix. Profile application and identify performance bottleneck and improve system performance.

Evaluate open-source frameworks, compare pros and cons, and choose the best from all alternatives. Work with DevOps, write python/shell scripts to help and maintain production stability. Respond to production alerts with speed and quality.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent. Must have 6 months of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 6 months of experience in fluent C++ programming; fluent Python programming; algorithm and data structure; Big data processing; NoSQL Database; Internet programming, HTTP protocol; and modern C++ (C++ 11/14/17 extension). Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
