Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on a specific project

  • Help our customer by designing and/or implementing complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints; perform quality control on team products

  • Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces

  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met

  • Help implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Required Education and Experience:

  • Active or reinstatable TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (U.S Citizenship Required)

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university or 4 years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes can be substituted for a degree

  • 14 years of software engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity

  • ElasticStack/Kibana skills and similar databases (Mongo)

  • Understanding of the corporate data system

Roles and Responsibilities include: * Red Hat Linux System Administration in a classified environment. * Recommends and implements system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. * Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions. * Creates and maintains user and computer accounts, including maintaining permissions and security access lists. * Tests new release levels of existing products to insure compatibility and minimize user impact. * Performs problem diagnosis on hardware, operating system, and/or applications. * Performs hardware and peripheral installations as required and troubleshoot problems. * Manages file and storage systems and disk space. * Manages virus protection system and update virus definitions on a routine basis. * Performs security audits on all classified networked and standalone computers on as directed. * Prepares security documentation for submission to Computer Security. * Develops and documents technical processes and procedures as needed. * Provide supplemental desktop support as required. Basic Qualifications: * This position may be hired as a Principal or Senior Principal Level: 1. Principal SA: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical position supporting Linux server environments. An additional 4 years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements. Sr. Principal SA: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical position supporting Linux server environments. An additional 4 years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirements. 1. Knowledge of NISPOM (Chapter 8) and/or DCID 6/3-ICD 503 information system requirements. 2. Advanced RHEL experience. 3. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated equipment 4. Knowledge of Classified Environment Protocols. 5. DoD 8570 certification (e.g. Security , CEH, or CISSP). 6. A current Secret clearance. 7. Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Advanced Docker experience: implementation, container creation/publication. 2. Understanding of basic networking. 3. Cross-platform experience. 4. General knowledge of storage technologies such as storage area network or network-attached storage. 5. Certification in related OS (MS Windows, Red Hat Linux). 6. A current TS/SCI clearance.
