Job Description:

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Chantilly/Reston, VA areas. Tech lead for all Android software development efforts, authoritative and effectively provide guidance in overall aspects of Android software development including: Data Architecture, Software Assurance, and Security. Conducts rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate techniques in relevant environments, conducts performance, security and other aspects of evaluating software systems, test software capabilities using novel testing and analysis techniques, document software with an emphasis on architecture, user stories and interface definitions, practice agile software development methods and actively participate on teams of software developers, researches and assists in building and configuring computer systems and resources, interfaces with technical community and other gov't entities to understand challenges, needs and development solutions. The engineer will develop, maintain and enhance complex and diverse software systems. Contributes to improving the overall technical capabilities of the FBI's collection mission by participating in design software and otherwise. Sessions, developing unique capabilities and sharing insights and practices across gov't organizations supporting the collection mission.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge/experience developing and testing applications on Windows and Linux systems for 32-bit and 64-bit systems

  • Performing C/C++, Python, x64 assembly, and kernel development

  • Apply understanding of technical issues surrounding the designing, building and testing of software development kits supporting Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms and frameworks

  • Apply coding experience on Intel or AMD platforms

  • Apply understanding of cryptographic protocols and compression technologies and their implementation in C/C++

  • Understanding of computer, network exploitation techniques and methodologies to include application and mitigation techniques

  • Understanding of public exploits and awareness of new/unpublished techniques

Basic Qualifications

  • Sr. SE iOS Lead should have a BS in CS, CE, SE from an accredited University/College.

  • 10 years of relevant experience on a large program and 5 years of Intensive software development or equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Understanding of operating system internals for Windows, iOS, Linux, and/or Android, such as process synchronization techniques (i.e., semaphores, messages, threading), process scheduling, resource and device access

  • Mobile development experience

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven contributions to open source development projects.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
