Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in Shopify Plus to lead the development and optimization of our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating user-friendly, high-converting online shopping experiences. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with our marketing, design, and operations teams to drive our e-commerce strategy forward.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of our Shopify Plus theme and extension applications.

• Collaborate with the product, design, and marketing teams to implement new features, enhancements, and updates that improve the user experience and drive sales.

• Ensure code is optimized for performance, maintainability, and scalability.

• Develop and maintain responsive and visually appealing web pages, landing pages, and microsites.

• Implement and manage full stack integrations, apps, and plugins to enhance site functionality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve site and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

• Monitor and analyze website performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software engineering and e-commerce.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.

• Proven expertise in Shopify Plus, including Liquid theme development and custom app development.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

• Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Ruby, or PHP.

• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.

• A passion for developing test cases and ensuring appropriate test coverage across the full stack.

• Experience in Test Driven Development is a plus.

• Knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), development workflows, and continuous delivery.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
