About the Role

We operate in small startup-sized teams. With an ambitious product roadmap, we focus on moving quickly and working on building Microservices based application development platforms. A successful candidate will have a flexible mindset (not married to a single language, single technology stack) and a passion for programming and experiment with new technologies.

About You

  • Strong programming and software engineering background with preference to expertise in Java.

  • Strong knowledge of Microservices based architectures such as API gateways, API lifecycle management, authentication, configuration management etc.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns that cover synchronous and asynchronous integrations

  • Hands-on experience in AWS cloud computing infrastructure

  • Experience in designing application architectures that are robust, scalable and high performing

  • Experience in an Agile software development environment and aligning Agile team members on a technical vision and path to implementation

  • Thirst for learning and regularly updating knowledge

  • Strong communication skills that are influential and convincing

Position Summary: LSC-CyFair's ASC Lab Coordinators manage open and instructed labs on the Barker Cypress campus throughout the year. Job Functions: * Responds to user questions and inquiries through telephone, e-mail, oral and written forms of communication * Attempts to resolve first contact issues by performing minor troubleshooting in the identification of applicable problems related to software applications or hardware applications used in language teaching and learning, etc * Processes Language Lab reservations by prioritizing and scheduling lab request for instructional usage * Assists lab coordinator in preparing & delivering orientation & training sessions to students & faculty * Assists lab coordinator in the promotion of the use of technology and multimedia materials in language study * Assists lab coordinator in the digitization, duplication & distribution of language textbook multimedia materials * Maintains the security of the language lab and its contents from open to close on days, nights, & weekends * Confirms that open lab patrons sign in and out properly when using the lab outside of class * Identifies user problems with software and hardware, research problems, troubleshoot as required, and instruct users in routine problem resolution * Support instructional delivery as needed * Process interoffice and US mail, as needed * Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Working knowledge of any of the following: language learning software, online teaching & learning, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Internet Browsers, Web Page Development Tools and other current Microsoft Products * Excellent organizational skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Courteous service to users on a variety of software products and hardware platforms * Knowledge of commonly used computer concepts and terms, familiarity with the Internet, current Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office products * Demonstrated ability and commitment to work collaboratively * Demonstrated high-level communication and computer skills * Demonstrated commitment to quality service to students * Working knowledge of MS Windows XP environment, MS Outlook e-mail & calendar * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Courteous service to users on a variety of software products and hardware platforms * Knowledge of commonly used computer concepts and terms, familiarity with the Internet, current Microsoft Operating Systems and MS Office products Salary: $14.42/hour Work Schedules & Conditions: * PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment. * Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position. * Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
