The successful candidate will execute Software Engineering activities with a specific focus in software development, requirement definition, hardware and software integration, system architecture, assessing efficiency of algorithm implementation, structuring HW and SW trade studies. Serve as a key technical advisor for a major weapon system acquisition program, and as the technical liaison and trusted advisor to government sponsors supported by the Naval Aviation Portfolio.
Collaborate with government as Integrated Product Team Member
Provide technical expertise/insight to software development and integration
Develop and test software for near-term integration in operational platforms
Collaborate with government engineers and MITRE Tech Center subject matter experts to plan, develop and deploy future software capabilities in next-generation naval aviation platforms.
Detailed analysis of software code to improve throughput and memory resources
Identify and assess risk to program technical performance, cost and schedule constraints and develop a variety of courses of action to mitigate risk(s)
Support System Engineering SETR process for Software related to development, analysis and traceability of requirements
Plan, develop, and implement software engineering program milestones and coordinate technical information, such as interface documentation, specifications, and technical review materials
Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
Bachelor's Degree in SW Engineering or Computer Science or related field, Master's Degree preferred
5 years of software development experience
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present highly technical material to a diverse audience
Strong background in software engineering and requirements development & management
Naval Aviation Domain knowledge/experience
Top Secret level security clearance with SCI eligibility
Demonstrated experience in performing analytical work
Technical knowledge of computer systems, networking, and NAVAIR Program structures and engineering processes
8 plus years of software development experience
Master's Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related field
Maintain SCI level security access
