Are you passionate about building large scale services that serve millions of customers? Are you motivated by enabling scenarios to make people more productive and collaborative at work? The OXO Collab Services team is working on the service charters that power user collaboration scenarios, including Office Collaboration Service, Real Time Channel, and Azure Fluid Relay service.

These services work together with the office apps on many platforms to provide great collaboration experiences and improve user engagement. Google compete is the top priority of the Office org, and our team is a critical part of mission. Specifically, our team is currently working on: OCS service is the key component that allows 50+ users to simultaneously edit in the same word/excel/PowerPoint document, with content changes propagating from end to end in a couple of seconds. RTC service is building up the service scale to connect all office clients through web sockets. Fluid Relay Service is going to an Azure service available for both 1st and 3rd party developers to enable great real-time collaboration experiences on fluid framework.

Required qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years work experience (4+ years)
  • Solid design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for engineering excellence at scale.

Preferred to have:

  • 1+ year of work experience on large scale services

  • Software programming skills in C#, Java, or Node.js

  • Outstanding cross-discipline and cross group collaboration skills

  • Deep passion for customers, design thinking, data analysis and technology

  • Proficiency in debugging and diagnosing service health issues

  • Demonstrated experience in shipping high-quality products or services

We're looking for a strong Senior software Engineer to help the team advance the set of services to the next level, in the following large areas but not limited to: evolve the service architecture to the next generation; improve service scalability, and collaborate with the partner teams for great end-to-end customer collaboration experiences.

This role will be accountable for software design and development of innovative automation device technology used for Oil & Gas and Chemical Technologies. This role is responsible for new product software engineering throughout the product development life (idea to launch) and sustaining software engineering. You will also research, design, and develop computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development. What You Will Do: * Review and validate system software requirements to determine feasibility of design constraints. * Develop and update functionality for automation software, systems, and sub-systems. * Evaluate hardware and software interfaces and system requirements working in a multidisciplinary team. * Coordinate installation of software system. * Identify, evaluate, and develop engineering tools and processes necessary to meet a project's engineering and business goals. * Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments, maintaining a focus on safety, quality and reliability. * Develop regression test systems for hardware and software. * Conduct problem root cause investigations and determine proper resolution. * Lead and participate actively in software design and code reviews. Minimum Qualifications Required: * Advance degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or related field required BS+8 year, MS+6 years, PhD+4 years. * At least 4 years of experience with C# programming. * Programming language fluency required with C, C++. * Skilled with REACT / Angular JavaScript web stack. * Experience with MS Visual Studio and Azure Devops (TFS). * Experience with agile team-based software development toolsets and revision control systems. * Minimum 4 years working with Object-Oriented languages. * Experience defining a structured solution that meets all technical and operational requirements. * Skilled with micro-service architecture deployment using Docker containers. * Experience with troubleshooting networked solutions, including: 802.3, 802.11, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, 802.15.4, BLE, LoRa, and mesh networking. * Experienced using IOT stack protocols, especially MQTT, and AMQP. * Experience with automated IOT device provisioning. Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with Oil and Gas control and measurement systems; rod-lift, ESP, and reciprocating machinery condition monitoring. * Experience with Python, REACT and Node Red. * Experience with mission critical automation and control systems.
