Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.

• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or equivalent.

• Experience with UI/UX development.

• Experience with prototyping and web development frameworks/tools including React.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Experience using generative AI tools and frameworks to develop interactive and educational prototypes.

• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Experience in front-end engineering with a track record of building production web apps at scale using TypeScript, React, and other web technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Drive product innovation by leading ideation sessions and translating concepts into functional prototypes.

• Collaborate with design, research, and product teams for rapid iteration and refinement of user experiences, influencing quarterly roadmap priorities.

• Evolve design systems by integrating new features into existing product frameworks, maintaining consistency and scalability.

• Balance the need for rapid prototyping with long-term engineering best practices for sustainable solutions.

• Integrate across the full stack by seamlessly connecting backends, frontends, and research systems for cohesive product experiences.
