Job Description: Senior Stability Optimization Engineer

The Role

The Workplace Investment Stability & Automation Engineering Center of Excellence (COE) looking for a utility player who can play vital roles (Deep Hands-on development & Incident Manager) with strong communication, highly customer focused, proven engineering with production operations background.

In this role, Stability Optimization Engineer will be responsible for leading the workplace investments response to environment issues across all the product lines part of Stability Optimization workstreams as well as working closely with the development, engineering, and operations teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience working in sophisticated production environment, on-Prem and Cloud

  • Must have full understanding of the ITIL practices to support the day-to-day operations

  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines stacks like GitHub, Stash, Jenkins, Concourse, Ansible, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, Kubernetes, Udeploy

  • Hands-on Experience with Public Cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure.

  • Experience with monitoring systems such as CloudWatch, Datadog/Splunk, ELK stack.

  • Strong Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, EKS and ECS

  • Build solutions that consider our multi-tenant hybrid Cloud and on-Prem environments

  • Ensuring magnificent execution of the incident resolution process, with clear communication that drives very high levels of customer's satisfaction

  • Creating, communicating, and driving the incident response strategy and actions for incidents.

  • Leading resources assigned to the incident and ensures the incident is receiving the proper support to drive resolution as quickly as possible.

  • Escalating, prioritizing, communicating, and coordinating high severity incidents ensuring adherence to the company's incident response process.

  • Addressing incoming escalations from executives regarding the incident.

  • Ensuring all agreed to operational policies and procedures are adhered to and championing the incident response process.

  • Driving the incident response process from detection through containment and eradication.

  • Leading the coordination with customers through resolution of the incident. Closely partnering and collaborating with Infrastructure, Engineering, Operations, Squads and Business Leadership to ensure alignment across the business.

  • Leading multi-functional post-incident process reviews to ensure continuous improvement of operations and execution¬

  • Contribute to the improvement of the incident response process based on lessons learned.

  • Capability to partner with Operations and Customers on stability opportunities based upon reporting/trending findings as well as operational readiness

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies to support day to day operations

  • Customer orientated personality exhibiting professionalism and enthusiasm

  • Good technical background with the ability to discuss architecture, hardware, and software concepts

  • Demonstrate ability to form trusted working relationships with business unit customers through collaboration and enhanced effective communications

  • Inquisitive in nature (seeks to understand why and challenges the "status quo")

  • Help focuses the attention, technology and processes required for optimally scaling automation initiatives

  • Expertise in conveying technical concepts to technical team members, and/or other technical contributors and business across the organization

  • Deeply self-motivated with the ability to work independently, coordinating activities within cross-regional and multi-functional teams

  • A passion for excellence, innovation, and collaboration; eager to learn and adapt every day

  • Able to coach team members in areas where you have domain expertise and able to coordinate with partners on

  • Drives with a high level of operational urgency

  • Flexibility, integrity, and creative problem-solving skills are a pre-requisite to be successful in this role.
