We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work within our product engineering team and drive the realization of practical AI solutions for the contact center environment. The ideal candidate has IVR, conversational interaction management or AI domain experience. Our existing Studio product stack is built on PHP, Python and Vue.js technology deployed in private and public clouds. We leverage the latest cloud AI services such as Google Speech, Dialogflow, IBM Watson and Amazon Lex. You will play a pivotal role in our San Ramon, CA headquarters, enjoying a hybrid work model that blends collaboration and flexibility with three office days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays).

Our vision for practical AI involves equipping contact center agents, supervisors and managers with user interfaces that guide and summarize their work, identify points of coaching and support, fully automate routine interactions and allow creation, deployment and ongoing training of the AI models required. At the same time, Studio is being fully integrated into the well-developed Five9 cloud micro-services platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software design and development, testing and documentation across our backend, front-end and interaction management platforms to deliver end-to-end features.

• Work with product owners and designers to expand the feature set and create high-quality user interfaces.

• Work with team in developing tool to upgrade/migrate customers from our Studio customers to latest environments.

• Take operational responsibility for the performance and quality of services owned by your team, potentially including taking part in an on-call rotation.

• Deep dive into recent technologies and work with the products team to transfer ideas into products.

• Contribute to the architectural design process for new products and solutions.

• This position requires the ability to be on-call.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience and have a solid understanding of backend using php and Laravel framework. Strong eye for REST standards and API development experience is a must.(PHP/Laravel preferred, Java/Spring desirable).

• Experience in MySQL as backend datastore. MongoDB experience is desired.

• Google Cloud experience is desired but not mandatory.

• Care and know about software engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing.

• Solid experience of working in an agile development environment and collaborating with a team.

• Experienced in working with distributed systems comprised of multiple services in addition to having built and scaled monoliths.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Additionally, the total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.

The US base salary range for this role is below.

$111,800-$216,100 USD
