What you will be doing:

This position will:

• Work closely with the product team to understand PassiveLogic's business needs

• Build and prototype new services for our building automation platform

• Design, develop and deploy large-scale cloud services; Components include API design, distributed database design, secure multitenancy systems, and data collection and aggregation - all with a focus on security and scalability

You must have:

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field

• 5+ years experience in software development in various languages (C/C++, Swift, Golang, etc.)

• Professional experience writing backend web services

• Experience with software engineering best practices, including common design patterns, SOLID principles, efficient algorithms/data structures, etc.

• Experience in multiple software paradigms, including data-driven, object-oriented, functional, and protocol-oriented software design

• Self-motivation, passion for technology, and a strong drive for results and continuous improvement

• Strong communication skills

You should have:

• Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies

• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members

• An understanding of database principles and comfort writing SQL

• A strong knowledge of containerization using Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience implementing user management systems

It's helpful to have:

• Backend GraphQL development experience

• Cloud Infrastructure management experience

• Swift language development experience

• PostgreSQL experience
