The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting all custom development software applications and utilities as well as the integration components between systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working closely with other software engineers, developers, business owners, database administrators, vendors, and end-users to ensure the systems are functioning and performing optimally.
Work closely with team members to develop and maintain application support documentation for the bank's internally developed applications.
Function as a mentor for junior software engineer(s), providing assistance where needed
Assisting in the hiring of additional staff within the department.
Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
Participate in the development of business strategy for the Bank as needed
Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
Develop and support web applications that meet business requirements using ASP.NET
Develops system test plans, oversees testing of new or modified applications and ensures applications meet specifications.
Assist application owners with unit testing, regression testing, script testing, user acceptance testing and test environment support.
Develops integration plans and ensures for the incorporation of plans into integration testing process.
Ensures documentation of functions and changes to new or modified modules, tests activities/results, error handling and backup/recovery procedures.
Provides expert advice on complex system design issues and contributes to ongoing planning and development of systems enhancements.
May manage small to medium sized projects.
Provides technical expertise, training, and consultation to other staff.
Provides ongoing maintenance and operational support for applications.
Supports software development lifecycle and applies and follows appropriate programming/development methodologies and best practices as instructed.
Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing business environment which may include learning new Technologies
Maintain the Bank's website relationship with the vendor and make changes that don't require code changes by the vendor.
Extremely responsive and able to communicate effectively with all user levels.

Demonstrated attention to detail, effective time management.
Keep up-to-date on new technologies
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent
Knowledge or understanding of .Net, ColdFusion, Visual Basic and Dynamic HTML (DHTML) application support and/or development.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
Knowledge or understanding of SQL including: reporting services, writing scripts and creating packages.
Ability to work with existing and new vendors, their application(s) and services.
Experience in project management methodology.
Demonstrated ability to document application support methodology and procedures.
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deal with conflicting priorities
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Experience with Visual Studio
Familiarity with Hyperion Reporting Services
Familiarity with Team Foundation Server
Familiarity with Agile Software development principals
Familiarity with SalesForce development and integration services
MS Sharepoint Administrative experience a plus
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
2 years' experience in .NET web development Banking / financial services background a plus
Creates or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development
Familiarity with the following financial applications a plus:
