Aspen Capital is currently seeking a full stack Senior Software Engineer. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a talented team of engineers to improve Aspens enterprise business software and analytics frameworks. Youll help to build secure, scalable, and fast tools to make processing data, generating analytics, and reporting within our teams seamless and easy. This position will be an anchor tech lead for our New York office.

We are in a phase of rapid growth driven by increasing demand for our services. To meet this demand, we are looking to hire exceptional developers to work alongside our existing team. Together driving our platform and services forward.

Day to day you will

Contribute to the definition, architecture, and design of software components, solution designs, tools, and tests.
Ensure high availability and reliability of business applications
Debug production issues
Help coach and grow our team professionally
Set and maintain high quality standards for the teams work
Communicate risks and plans to mitigate them
Contribute to a culture of team accomplishment and collaboration.
Understand deeply how business drivers impact our priorities and planning

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
5+ years demonstrated experience deploying web applications in AWS or a major cloud provider
Have a strong command of distributed systems and modern data processing architectures
Ability to take a project from requirements gathering through launch
Strong data modeling and SQL skills
Experience with Databases such as Redshift, Postgres, SQL Server in Azure/AWS
Experience with Java, Vue.js/React, Node.js
Proven success coaching less senior team members
Have proven and recent experience leading projects
